Mindful Parenting, Caregiving & Relationships
Many relationships include extraordinary concerns when mental health or substance use is involved. Not only can it be incredibly difficult to be the person who is directly struggling, it can be heartbreaking, boundary stretching, terrifying, confusing, and challenging to be a loved one witnessing or supporting.
We know that supporting the care-givers (the people caring for or in relationship with a person with mental health or substance use concerns), as well as the person directly struggling, is key to best outcomes for everyone.
Our team offers specialized support for children ages 5+ with mental health concerns, as well as for the care-givers, especially parents and partners. We also work with adults who have complicated relationships with their own parents, siblings, and/or partners and couples.

Burnout Support (specialized focus on Women, Executive Function & Neurodiversity)
Prolonged exposure to mental, emotional, and/or physical stress without enough time or space to recoup, can cause burnout to the point some people cannot function. It is often associated with decreased executive function and tends to be more prevalent in neurodivergent people.

Treating Chronic Pain, Illness & Depression
Depression can include feelings of sadness, despair, sleep disturbances, apathy, hopelessness, thoughts of death or suicide, depressed mood and loss of interest, weight changes, and difficulties with concentration.
While depression can exist alone, in around 1/3 of people who have a significant or chronic illness or chronic pain there are also symptoms of depression. In fact, depression related to chronic conditions can relate both to the experience of the condition (ie. decreased mobility, increased pain, and social isolation), as well as to the treatment.
In conjunction with other options such as healthy diet, exercise, and perhaps medication, therapy can be highly effective in treating depression & chronic illness/ pain - together or separately.
