WHO AM I AND WHAT DO I OFFER? 

I help people change their lives for the better, no matter where we are starting from. I LOVE the life-changing work I do in helping people feel safety and comfort while enhancing, shifting, and healing. It is an incredibly meaningful and important piece of my life to be with people on the journey and see lives become healthier, more fulfilled, and more meaningful. Hearing people 'own' their value, mindset, choices, and witnessing and growing the skills, insight, and self-compassion that will carry them forward are what drive me.

So, I provide specialized virtual therapy for anyone in BC who wants life to feel better (because therapy is for EVERYONE, life can always be better, and I have a million dynamic clinical tips and tricks to help people be validated, authentic, and empowered). I use evidence-based interventions and work very hard to bring in expertise for my clients to support strategic and powerful changes, to make sure there is a balance between working hard, feeling everything, and finding laughter and fun in sessions with me and fulfillment in life overall.

I am also a soloprenuer, mama (fur babies & skin babies), and wife with a Master's of Counselling degree, a Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC, Canada, and have about 20 years of experience. I work in the corporate world full time and run my private practice on the side for the joy of it. I am also a content contributor for the Thinkladder App (provides alternate thoughts for limiting beliefs, and is free), and enjoy spending time in nature, sipping hot beverages, and laughing (so much laughing).

Thea is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). 

Registration with this overseeing body means Thea has a Master's degree in counselling, a professional code of ethics, and is committed to providing safe and ethical service.

Counselling sessions are offered by video conferencing or phone at this time, or by Walk & Talk Therapy in Port Moody. For video & phone sessions, I am accepting individuals, couples, and families. Virtual counselling can be as effective as in person counselling. I have availability in the early morning, early afternoon, and evening most days of the week; check my schedule hereFor Walk & Talk Therapy, an initial phone or video intake session is required to assess suitability. Many people appreciate the experience of having a therapy session outdoors walking side-by-side with a counsellor, and the evidence shows that it is as effective.
